This is our third profile from the state of Texas, this one from our oldest patient to be profiled thus far. Cannabis is universal in its healing properties, no matter what your age.
The 420 Times: What state do you live in? How old are you? Male or female?
Patient: Female, Texas, Age 63
420: What ailments do you treat with cannabis?
P: Alcohol addiction, stress
420: How long have you been medicating with cannabis?
P: 15 years
420: What effects does cannabis have on your ailments?
P: It helps me relax and takes my mind off drinking because I am an alcoholic.
420: Have doctors tried to put you on prescription pills?
P: Yep, taken the shots and medicine that makes me sick when I drink. I don’t want to take pills.
420: What do you have to go through to get your medication? Do you have a regular dealer or several options?
P: Daughter gets it for me.
420: Have you ever been busted for cannabis? If so, describe for us what happened.
P: No and I don’t want to either, so keep me a secret.
420: How did you come across Cannabis?
P: I was part of the hippie generation, left that, quit smoking pot, raised my kids, then my kid started smoking and I would bust her for it. Then when he was 28, I asked her to get me some cause I wanted a drink so bad and I didn’t want to take the pills and get sick, so I started smoking…again and it takes the edge off.
