I have been very active in the legislative season on the issue of HB2041, which legalizes use of mj and derivatives and makes use of mj sold in liquor stores. The bill was shot down a while back, but it will make its way onto the bill in the 2011 season and hopefully pass.
THIS IS A MAJOR STEP IN CANNABIS LEGALIZATION, NOT JUST IN WASHINGTON, BUT UNITED STATES.
We need an intelligent, professional who supports cannabis liberty to go have a decent conversation with Gregoire. Not a goofy hippy.
She has no idea what it is like to be on the other side of the fence and needs help to determine what is an acceptable amount of MMJ is for patients. Specifically how much cannabis is enough for a 2 month supply.
I’m thinking a pound per 2mo period and up to 30 plants per person, that should be enough for those who cook with cannabis rather than smoking.

If it went up 10x then that means it was criminally under subscribed. This needs to happen in every single state of the union. Probably the BIGGEST opponents to medical marijuana is big pharmacy who will lose business because their pills are more expensive, don’t work as well and have severe side effects..
What do we use for pain now? Morphine, Oxycontin, Dillaudid, hydromorphone etc, all many, many.many times more addictive with far more side effects.
But state laws can allow more patients to grow their own!

This is great! The coverage was bad tho. Anyway anything on the news about marijuana in my country seems to be negative, but that has changed a bit in the last months after the most serious and next most major news station did some coverage about medical marijuana in the US. You guys are doing great work over there, work that would not only change your country but perhaps change the world, keep it up!

Medical marijuana up 10 fold??….what an ignorant statement, most of these people have been using marijuana as medicine for years…..now that they can do so without fear, they are willing to step up and be counted and labeled by the media and other entities……the negative stigma of marijuana and the stereotype of users is so ingrained that it will take decades to erase.
