The DC Council passed a medical marijuana law in May, but while the law was signed by the mayor, it still had to undergo a period of Congressional review that lasts 30 legislative days. That 30-day period concluded Monday, according to the mayor’s office, so the law officially went into effect Tuesday. A panel of Calvina L. Fay of the Drug Free America Foundation and Aaron Houston from SSDP join RT’s Kristine Frazao to debate. Will the capital become a haven for weed?

One thing the Media, Cops, lobbyists and lesbo do-gooders seem to be missing here Cannabis is a naturally occurring plant, part of nature. LOL I’ve been to Amsterdam and the teens there could care less about getting drunk or getting high because they have been around it for so long they want nothing to do with either of the two. Same with alcohol in Baltimore, I was served from 19 on up and now I don’t care to drink, but everyone who had to wait til 21 to drink is still drinking today, and heavily at that. Legalize and see intoxication rates drop in 10-15 years, just like A-dam
